Four campuses, one College

Southern Cross Catholic College is a unique Catholic College where students shine. We consist of four campuses located approximately six kilometres from each other - three primary campuses accommodating students from Prep to Year 6, and a secondary campus which accomodates students from Year 7 - 12. Each campus has its own personality and and strengths to offer.

Woody Point Campus (Prep - Year 6)

Southern Cross Catholic College Woody Point Campus is at the southern end of the Redcliffe Peninsula and is the smallest of the Southern Cross campuses. With just over 200 students from Prep to Year 6, a strong, effective partnership at all levels ensures a friendly, supportive culture. A stimulating, engaging curriculum that sets challenging standards and addresses students' abilities, needs and interests, provides a high quality learning environment.

The Woody Point Campus, founded in 1969 by the Brigidine Sisters under the banner of Our Lady of Lourdes has a rich history and tradition. There has been extensive development of the campus over recent years to provide  modern and effective learning spaces for the 21st Century student. It is blessed with a strong feeling of community among students and staff and parent involvement is particularly strong.

Data and feedback is used to effectively facilitate optimum learning for individual students. Teachers have high expectations and support students to raise their personal expectations of themselves. Classes provide a challenging and rigorous curriculum for students which address all aspects of their development.

Prayer and celebration are a focus of daily campus life. Involvement in district sports, swimming programs, dance, drama, instrumental music, robotics and chess tournaments all contribute to the holistic development of each student.

With its contemporary learning environment, Woody Point Campus is blessed in all facets of its operation and thrives from being a small campus whilst receiving the benefits of being an integral part of a larger College network.

Scarborough Primary Campus (Prep - Year 6)

Situated on the site of the former De La Salle Junior College at Scarborough, the leafy and tree-lined Southern Cross Catholic College Scarborough Primary Campus accommodates over 400 students.

Opened in 1955, the campus was known as De La Salle Primary School and educated boys from Year 4 onwards. Today the campus benefits from being part of a College which values its past but looks forward to its future as part of a multi-campus, progressive College.

Scarborough Primary Campus has recently undergone a major rebuild and refurbishment. Families can expect contemporary facilities where dedicated and enthusiastic staff implement a relevant and meaningful curriculum which is future-focused and attentive to the needs of all students.

Scarborough Primary students (along with students at all campuses) are offered opportunities to excel in all areas including specialised lessons in Music, Physical Education and Japanese (from Prep), with many co-curricular activities offered to develop interests and strengths.

Kippa Ring Campus (Prep - Year 6)

Surrounded by wide open spaces, beautiful gardens and large grassed fields, Southern Cross Catholic College Kippa Ring Campus is immersed in nature an caters for approximately 350 students.

The campus opened in 1997 following the 1995 amalgamation of the seven Catholic schools on the Redcliffe Peninsula to form Southern Cross Catholic College.

The campus features contemporary facilities including a multi-use hall used for assemblies, sport, liturgies and concerts. Five additional rooms in the complex are utilised by Catholic Early Ed Care outside school hours and holiday care service.

With large open spaces, a mulit-purpose court, undercover areas and soccer/football fields, students have the ability to participate in a myriad of activities. Located within close proximity to the Holy Cross Parish Church, students are provided the opportunities to celebrate Mass and liturgies together on a regular basis.

Scarborough Secondary Campus (Years 7-12)

Southern Cross Catholic College Secondary Campus at Scarborough is ideally located at the northern end of the Redcliffe Peninsula overlooking the immense beauty of Moreton Bay and the sandy shores of Moreton Island.

Located on the site of the original De La Salle College, Southern Cross Catholic College Secondary Campus is a perfect blend of the past, the present and the future.

With the combination of a medium sized student population and well-resourced facilities, the campus provides future-focused educational programs for all students from Years 7-12.

Students are immersed in programs which meet the distinct set of cognitive, physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of adolescents. A relevant curriculum attentive to the needs of today's youth, along with specialist staff at the forefront of their fields, ensure students meet and exceed the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority requirements, opening doors to almost any course of study, post graduation.
