Past student provides inspiration

The pursuit of excellence in all endeavours is a message emphasised to all students at Southern Cross. Last week the secondary students had the privilege of hearing an inspiring presentation by 2016 College Captain, Dalton Dries, who is now Lieutenant Dries - a helicopter pilot in the Australian Army.
Dalton always wanted to be a pilot in the defence forces and upon completing school attended the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) completing a Science Degree with majors in Chemistry and Aviation.
Lt Dries expressed gratitude for the positive impact his SCCC education had on him and especially to Dr Kolade for nurturing his love of Science.
All students were inspired by the lessons Dalton shared and he emphasised that success stems from surrounding yourself with the right people, the right resources, and the right mindset.
Thank you Lt Dries and congratulations on your amazing career to date.
