​Southern Cross Catholic College is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Conor Finn as Head of College - Secondary, commencing in January 2026.

Dr Finn brings a wealth of experience in Catholic education and leadership. He is currently serving as Dean of Formation and Acting Deputy Principal at Ambrose Treacy College, Indooroopilly, and is also a Sessional Academic Staff Member at Australian Catholic University. His previous leadership roles include Assistant Principal - Identity at St Joseph's Nudgee Junior College and Dead of Identity at St Joseph's College, Gregory Terrace. 

Dr Finn holds an impressive array of qualifications including:

* Doctor of Philosophy

* Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology

* Master of Educational Leadership

* Bachelor of Education

* Bachelor of Arts

His appointment follows a rigorous selection process involving representatives from Brisbane Catholic Education and Father Bob Harwood, Priest in Charge of Holy Cross Parish, Redcliffe. 

We also take this opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding contribution of Mrs Janelle Doohan, who will retire at the end of 2025. Her leadership and dedication have left a lasting legacy at the College, and we wish her every happiness in retirement.
