SCCC proud of Senior results

The QCAA and QTAC have now released Year 12 subject results. Southern Cross Catholic College can be very proud of the achievements of the 2022 seniors.

Of our ATAR-eligible students, 12 of our 58 students (21%) were awarded an ATAR of 85 or above. Of particular mention are the results of Jake McCallum and Leonardo Favaretto, who received ATARs of 98.45 and 97.95, respectively.

One student, Leonardo Favaretto, received As in all six subjects, an outcome that is achieved annually by only 1000 of more than 50,000 students statewide, whilst Jake McCallum and Eden Hoolahan received A grades in five of their six subjects. Ryan Miotti and Nicole Quigg received a very impressive four A and two B grades.

Of course, the measure of success at Southern Cross is not just based on the highest-achieving students. Every student is heading on a different pathway into work and study, and our metric of success is that everybody achieves to plan on that pathway. Forty students graduated with one or more VET qualifications from Certificate 1 to Diploma level. 68 VET qualifications were awarded overall. 89% of our students received either a QCE or VET certificate.

Our congratulations go out to all of our Year 12 cohort who worked to capacity and achieved exceptionally well in what was a challenging year for students state wide. We are very proud of you.
