Master Plan

Southern Cross Catholic College is currently in the final year of its 2016-2020 five year master plan.

The secondary campus has transformed into a contemporary learning environment where staff and students are placed at the forefront of learning. A state-of-the-art science wing with labs for Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Marine Science have ensured all students work in an environment comparable to, or better than, any other school on the Redcliffe Peninsula. The campus quadrangle has been transformed into a shady external learning area and break-out area for all students. Grassed terraces lead to an outdoor stage and have made the College chapel the external focal point of the campus. The conversion of old office space and store rooms into new amenities have provided students and staff with modern bathroom facilities with their locations minimising student time out of the classroom. The library has been totally renovated to provide a modern learning space and the Br Timothy Peter Centre is now a performance centre worthy of the greatest production.

The next and final phase of the master plan will see the creation of a Student Wellbeing Centre, where students will have access to administration, pastoral care and wellbeing staff all under the one roof.  Staff will also benefit from a new staff room and staff lounge.

A new master plan for 2021-2025 to incorporate all four Southern Cross Catholic College campuses is currently in development.
